What it is actually like
Kohanaiki took a different approach from the older Kohala resorts. The clubhouse is contemporary, the amenity list runs to a brewery, a bowling alley, a comedy club and a golf simulator alongside the expected golf and spa, and the whole thing is aimed at families who want somewhere to actually spend time.
The shoreline includes a genuine surf break with a long history among Kona surfers, and the club has kept public shoreline access intact.
Ownership is by home or homesite with club membership attached. Inventory is limited and much of it moves quietly.
