Puakea Bay Ranch is a gated community of large parcels sloping toward the water south of Hawi. The coastline here is rugged rather than swimmable, ideal for buyers who value the ocean as a landscape and a soundscape. From the community's oceanfront park, whales and dolphins are frequently spotted in the turquoise waters right off the coast, with Maui appearing so close across the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel you feel like you could touch it.
